government 2.0 strategy, consulting and training

Blue Train Enterprises is available to assist Federal, State and
Local Government departments and agencies with the intricacies of
Government 2.0.

e-Government, or more commonly known as
Government 2.0 in Australia, is the use of contemporary electronic
technologies to deliver government services and support to citizens, and
to enhance communications between government agencies and enterprises.
Wikipedia
defines e-Government as:
e-Government (short for electronic government, also known
as e-gov, digital government, online government,
connected government or transformational government) is
creating a comfortable, transparent, and cheap interaction between
government and citizens (G2C – government to citizens), government and
business enterprises (G2B –government to business enterprises) and
relationship between governments (G2G – inter-agency relationship).
According to the United Nations' 2010 e-Government Readiness Index,
Australia is the eighth best country in the world for e-Government
maturity. But there is much work to do yet...
The Federal Labor Government released a
new policy document in May 2010 which signals a major shift
towards 'open government'. The new policy will see government
agencies and their staff adopt a more open and collaborative stance
online. Additionally, previously copyrighted government data and
content will be issued under a creative commons licence, enabling its
reuse and republication for the public's benefit.
This shift will not be without its challenges.

testimonial
From Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Wells, Senior Career
Advisor, Directorate of Officer Career Management,
Australian Army
I recently engaged Clayton to deliver a training seminar
on social media technology and web based career portals for
my team who provide career management of Australian Regular
Army officers. Clayton's product was outstanding. He had
thought deeply about the subject, and his training was
specifically tailored for the needs of my team. His deep
background in Government, coupled with his industry leading
perspective on employing social media to support business
made him perfect for what I was seeking. I would recommend
him as an expert trainer and consultant on integrating web
2.0 technologies into existing businesses and government
departments.
